in Mukilteo Washington, we are an affiliate school of the
Pedro Sauer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Association,
offering instruction in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu at our remodeled 6,500 square foot
facility.
Jiu-Jitsu Instructor Justin Angelos began
training with Master Pedro Sauer in 2001 at his
Sandy Utah
Academy, before relocating
to the Northwest. Master Sauer is a 7th degree Black Belt under Rickson Gracie and
Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Grandmaster Helio Gracie, and is
one of the most sought after martial arts instructors in the world.
Gracie
Jiu-Jitsu has gained tremendous popularity and respect as a martial art and
combat sport due to its' proven effectiveness in street self-defense,
military combat, gi and no-gi sport grappling tournaments and mixed martial
arts (MMA) competitions.
Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, sometimes referred to as
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, BJJ and Machado Jiu-Jitsu,
emphasizes ground fighting techniques and submission holds involving a variety
of joint locks and chokeholds.
Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is beneficial for men, women and
children of all ages and abilities, and our running start curriculum is designed
to ease new students into our training regime with instruction focusing on physical conditioning,
technique drills and sparring.
Adult Gracie Jiu-Jitsu classes are held Monday & Wednesday from 8 - 10 PM, Tuesday
9 - 11PM, Thursday 11AM - 1PM and 9 - 11 PM, & Saturday 10 AM - 12 PM.
Kids Gracie Jiu-Jitsu
classes are offered Monday & Wednesday from 5 - 6 PM, with Junior Gracie Jiu-Jitsu
classes held Tuesday & Thursday from 6 - 7 PM.
Private & Semi-Private Lessons are also available by appointment.
Military, Police/Fire Department and Family Discounts are available.
Additionally, Master Sauer visits our school at least annually to conduct a weekend seminar, along with visits from Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Black Belts
under Master Sauer such as
Jorge Jimenez,
James Gardner and
Johnny Carlquist.
